Who is behind the event?

Kalmar City Festival is arranged by Destination Kalmar in cooperation with the municipality of Kalmar.

Acting / Participate Act

Do you want to perform at the festival? Contact the person responsible for the event and make reservations for Pär Israelsson.
Are you under the age of 25 and want to perform at the City Park scene? Contact the Culture and Leisure Administration Coordinator Harald Erici.

Tickets/Entrance

All concerts at Kalmar City Festival, have free admission.

Availability

For those who need to get up a bit over the public sea, there are handicap-friendly ramps / places: Stortorget (Cathedral), Larmtorget (in front of stage), Stadsparken (in front of stage).
Invite your assistant or companion if you need help.

Toilets

Toilets are located at: Stortorget (Domkyrkan), The central station, The city park, Kvastenhuset and at the stage areas.

Age?

Everyone is welcome at Kalmar City Festival.

Children during family celebration

Keep in mind that the city party area is large. At the scenes we have bracelets for children where you can write your phone number if you would come apart.
If you lose your child go to the scenes or contact the nearest security guard or someone in the festival staff, we will help you!

Can i bring my pet?

It is allowed to bring your pet to the open areas of the city festival.
Keep in mind that evenings can be a bit noisy with large crowds.
Keep in mind that there may be people who are afraid of animals.

How do you work with sustainability?

For several years now, the project group has been working actively with social sustainability with a focus on security and safety. Long-term work on ecological sustainability has begun. This year, among other things, this is noticed by:

 

  • Sorting stations are exposed on our festival map. In them you can throw away plastic, residual waste.
  • Better and clearer sorting of both organizer and visitor garbage.
  • Water to fill in your own bottles is available in many places in the city
  • More food vendors with organic and locally produced food.
  • Collaboration with Kalmar Länstrafik (KLT) to get more visitors to go collectively. Extra buses.

Food service

During the event, food is served both via food carts and at local restaurants.
Ingestion of alcohol is prohibited in public places and within the area of events and scenes such as Stortorget, Larmtorget, Jordbroporten, Elevatorkajen and Stadsparken.
Servings with alcohol sales are only offered at local pubs and restaurants and in the restaurant at Stortorget.
